Case Studies
Please have look through the case studies below to help give you a further insight into how we run our corporate events and what takes place during the days themselves.

Brief:
Create a unique teambuilding experience for 400 T-Mobile employees, concentrating the key message of 'Simply Closer' and proving how important it is to 'work as a team'.
Programme:
- Start the day with explosions and smoke. Have the BMF Managing director give 10 minute talk on his experiences of working as a team during his military career
- Everyone on feet for a fun and unusual military warm up
- Split participants in two for teambuilding activity, swapping at half time. One team to do command tasks. The other team are in a role play. They are in prison and must dress up as guards to escape. Each team is given a Red Cross parcel which contains escape plans and a hidden map, the rest is up to them
- Bring all teams together at end for briefing
Result:
Feedback was that this was the most fun, unusual and exciting teambuilding that they had done. We were asked back to run another teambuilding day for T-Mobile a month later.

Brief:
It had been a tough year and Virgin wanted to bring everyone together to have some fun to help rebuild the team spirit. There was initial resistance to take part.
Programme:
- Knowing people were apprehensive we started the day in a very relaxed way with coffee and Danish pastries, followed by a light hearted introduction to the team
- We then split the participants in two and divided them into teams with an instructor to support and encourage each one
- One team went outside for a series of fun games. We made these games first of all fun and not intimidating: all age and fitness levels could take part
- The second team headed down to the lake for two different rowing challenges
- After all the challenges were over we brought teams together to compete in a raft building competition followed by a race
Result:
A huge success, everyone left the event with a big smile on their faces and management reported that it achieved exactly what they had set out to do.

Brief:
We were asked to design a tough challenge that would first of all help raise funds for the company charity but also bring together employees from across Europe as a subtle teambuilding exercise. An extra stipulation was that the costs had to suit the UK office who would fundraise, the European offices who would not and certain clients who were being asked along as well.
Programme:
- After extensive research we decided to climb the highest mountain in the Pyrenees, creating the Pico Aneto Challenge
- The challenge was suitably exciting to get the fundraising in without putting off the less adventurous types
- The very best mountain guides were employed to guide the group on the 3 day trek. Despite the walk being tough each night we ended in a refuge with excellent food and wine to help everyone relax.
Result:
Despite the wide mix of abilities everyone reached the peak and thousands of pounds were raised for the children's charity. Berenberg have asked BMF to come up with ideas for their next challenge.
