______
We haven't had a BMF weekend getaway for some time now, and we know you are all keen for one... We've planned a few days away over the 2nd Bank Holiday weekend in May near Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight. The dates are Saturday 24 - Monday 26 May.
As with all BMF events, it promises to be a great social weekend. The location is perfect, only a few hundred metres from the sea and surrounded by trees and wilderness. Throw in some adventure and a 'military feel' and we have something for everyone!
Some of the exciting activities we plan to pack in to your weekend include mountain biking, walking, an assault course & orienteering. Fingers crossed for perfect weather and we can eat dinners outside around the campfire with a few drinks. There are also pubs in the area not far from camp, so a night in town is definitely on the agenda too.
The camp itself is an ex-military battery with basic dormitory style accommodation. The facilities are quite 'simple' but comfy and have everything we need! There is definitely a military 'feel' around the camp.
You will need to make your own way to Lymington Pier, and then on to Yarmouth by ferry. Yarmouth is the ferry terminal where we will collect you from on the Isle of Wight. Trains leave London frequently for Lymington Pier if you do not have your own transport.
