Jurassic Coastal Walk Weekend
After the success of our Isle of Wight bank holiday weekend, we have made plans for another weekend away on the August bank holiday weekend, 22 - 25 August 2008.
As with all BMF events, it promises to be a great social weekend. We're heading to the Dorset and East Devon Coast which is England's first natural World Heritage Site - also known as The Jurassic Coast. It covers 95 miles of truly stunning coastline, with rocks recording 185 million years of the Earth's history.

We will be camping for the duration of the trip at different parks along our route. Each camp site has been chosen specifically so we see the best of the Jurassic Coastline. Dinner is not included in the cost as some sites do not offer BBQ or cooking facilities, so each site is conveniently located near a pub for evening meals and social drinks with everyone.
We will have a support vehicle on hand to carry luggage and equipment each day between camp sites. You will only need to carry a small rucksack with you during the day. On Saturday you will walk approximately 18km along the coast and 24km on the Sunday.
All camp fees & and tents are included in the cost, however if you wish to use your own tent you are very welcome too. Please let us know if this is the case and we won't pack so much kit for the journey down. You will need to supply your own sleeping bag, roll mat and pillow.
You will need to make your own way to and from Poole Station where we will meet you on day 1 and drop you back to on the final day. On Friday 22 August you need to be at Poole by 16:30 to meet your minibus transfer. Our estimated time of arrival at Poole on our final day is 17:00, so you should organise your return train for 17:30 onwards.
