  • Saturday 27 March 2010
  • Private land near Redhill, Surrey
  • Start time 10:00hrs

We have run our Military Series on this particular London course for the past few years. In 2010 we are building more new obstacles and making it more exciting than ever before. The routes for both the 5k and 10k run is designed on a private 4x4 driving course and is definitely 'off-road'. You are guaranteed to finish this race wet, muddy, smelly, exhausted and with a big smile on your face!

The Venue:

The property is privately owned, so we have exclusive use for the event. You will have access to portable toilets, changing and storage facilities on the day. The venue is located just outside of Redhill, Surrey (approximately 1 hour out of London). To see further images on our London venue and the course, please click here to visit our Military Series photo gallery.

Getting to the Venue:

The exact location of the venue will be emailed out to those taking part approximately 3 weeks prior to the event.

Most participants drive or car share to the event. If you are in search of other participants in the same area to you that may like to car share, please click here to visit out BMF facebook page for the event. (You must be already logged in to your facebook account for this link to work).

Redhill train station is another option, and is located approximately 5 minutes drive from the venue. We suggest pre-booking a local cab to meet you at the train station, so you are not left waiting for ages on arrival. Please ensure you check train times prior to event day to ensure you have left sufficient time to get there.

Safety

As with all BMF events, your safety is our number one concern. Experienced marshals and BMF instructors are on hand throughout the course to manage tricky sections of the route. Those signing up for this event must accept that there is an element of risk involved in such activities.

On the day

Registration will open at 08:30hrs. Further information on the registration process and the event itself will be emailed to all those taking part approximately 3 weeks prior to the event.

Six Physio who already offer free physiotherapy consultancy to our London classes will also be onsite providing injury advice as needed. They are also providing free massage onsite for those that are hurting as they drag themselves across the finish line.

The Cost

  • 10k - £22
  • 5k - £20

The Prizes

Prizes have been donated by Timberland and Runners Need for the winners in both our 10k female and 10k male categories. Winners in the female 5k and male 5 will each receive a limited free month of BMF membership.

Entry

Please note that all entries are NON TRANSFERABLE and NON REFUNDABLE. Please click here to go through to our online registration system and pay for your entry. If you are entering for friends or family, you will need to complete the entry process multiple times as we must register each individual's details for the event.

You will not recieve anything via the post. Your race number and timing chip will be collected on the day during the registration process.

Volunteers / Marshalls needed

If you are injured, or not up for the challenge this time around but would still love to be involved, we are always on the hunt for extra event day helpers. From assisting with registration, to helping marshal the course and sending runners in the right direction, to helping with time keeping and the water drink station, any additional hands are greatly appreciated.

Those that assist on our March 2010 event are entitled to a free run in October 2010 as a thanks for your efforts. We normally organise a bus transfer from London to the venue for all our staff and volunteer helpers so transport won't be an issue.

If you are interested in assisting, please click here to email our event team your contact details.
