We thought we would start January off with some success stories of our own

I heard about BMF on Eagle radio during the summer holidays and thought it sounded like a fun way to get fit. I decided to give it a 3 month trial and see if it suited me and also to see if I could lose any weight.

I joined on the 5th of September and have been attending for over three months and I absolutely love it. I used to be a gym member for a long time and also tried swimming, but until now I have never found anything that I actually looked forward to doing. I go to 3 - 4 sessions a week at Frimley Park Lodge and also find time to take my dog and kids on long walks too.
Since joining BMF, my fitness levels have increased considerably! When I first started my main aim was to just get through the class without passing out! Now I find the physical side of it a lot easier and can concentrate on doing good quality exercises throughout the class. When I started BMF, I didn't know anyone, but the instructors and everyone else were all so friendly and encouraging that I soon felt at home. There is a great sense of camaraderie, especially on those cold wet muddy nights.
I have recently completed my first assessment, even though I was hesitant to do this, its a great way to measure your improvement over time and I was really surprised with my results. I was aware that I had gone down a couple of dress sizes, so I weighed myself after the 3 months of attending BMF and was delighted to see that I had lost a total of 25 lbs!!
The weight loss and improved fitness has made me feel much better about myself as a whole and I intend to keep going to BMF as a long term commitment. Hopefully my story will help to motivate some new members who are hoping for the same results

While visiting the Guildford Spectrum leisure centre with my children, I had regularly noticed a group of keen individuals meeting in the car park and I thought it was time to investigate what they were all about!
I decided to join BMF in August 2009 and was a little nervous as I had not been regularly exercising for more than 18 months. Since August Ive been trying to attend 3 days a week and I feel much fitter and can take short sprints to catch trains without huffing, puffing and panting!
The key things about BMF that work for me are the instructors and ease and flexibility of the classes. Im amazed by the instructors and the fact that they continue to bring on fun and variety within the classes, sometimes I wonder how many more types of exercises they have up their sleeves! The flexibility of the classes means that I can go 3 times a week and workout with similar minded people who understand the journey I am taking.
Since joining in August, Ive managed to lose 9 Kgs and dropped 3 inches around my waist! Doing BMF has meant that I have the freedom to enjoy a variety of foods without having to really watch the calories.
Hopefully 2010 will see me compete in a 5K or 10K event if I can muster up the courage to take part!
