“I joined BMF in Leeds when it started in June, not really knowing what to expect, but thinking that it had to be better than the gym membership I paid for, but never used!! I never dreamt that I'd get addicted to it and feel guilty for missing it, or that it would have such an impact on my social life. Within weeks I began to notice a difference, particularly in my arms - the hated "bingo wings" were toning up and I was gradually increasing from 5, to 10, then 20 press-ups with no knees on the ground - something I'd never managed to achieve in years of aerobics classes! I'm noticing a huge difference in my general fitness levels too. I used to struggle to run for a bus back in May, but now, six months on, I feel quite comfortable running during the session and am looking forward to the challenge of the BMF 10K in October. There was a huge sense of achievement when I put on a red bib for the first time - but I'm quite happy where I am for now - I think it will be a while before I try on a green one!”
