A mostly flat landscape, with a couple of hills to get the heart racing, War Memorial Park is a good sized area that hosts a varied BMF timetable, from boxing and sandbags to running clubs. No two sessions will be the same, serious fun guaranteed!

Matt Turnell

Matt spent 11 years as an Army Physical Training Instructor, during which time he participated in various sports whilst in the Army including boxing, athletics, rugby, and the tug of war. He worked in various countries including Cyprus, Germany, Bosnia, and Norway. His last Army posting was at ATR Lichfield where he worked for 3 years in the Recruit Selection Centre and 3 years in the ATR training recruits. Matt prides himself on being friendly and approachable. His aim is to conduct fun based sessions for all ability groups. He gets a real sense of achievement “in helping other members to improve their personnel fitness, and seeing members working together as a team.”

The meeting point is the 'park and ride' off the Kenilworth Road A429.
