Welcome to St Albans Verulamium Park

Verulamium Park is set in the grounds opposite St Albans Cathedral. The park itself is largely flat and in the winter is well-lit thanks to the floodlights from the running track. Kit classes are frequently on the timetable to ensure members are challenged and encouraged to reach their limits.

Anthony Thompson

Anthony was in the Army for 6 years. Since leaving the Army Anthony completed many fitness based qualifications and subsequently went on to complete a Foundation Degree and a BSc Hons in Sport Studies. Anthony is now the Territory Manager for BMF in Hertfordshire and takes great pride in his role and loves his job. Away from work Anthony loves anything to do with scuba diving and keeping fit

Meeting Point

Follow the brown public notice signs for Westminster Lodge Athletics track and the Abbey theatre. The entrance to the park off St Stephens Hill opposite Saint Albans Abbey railway station. Meet in the car park just by the athletics track.

Postcode for your Sat nav: AL1 2DJ - the postcode is as close to the meeting point as we can get so please use the map as well.

 

Fitness Assessment
An optional fitness assessment takes place on the last Saturday of each month.

Afterwards we head to our local pub, Ye Old Fighting Cocks in order to rehydrate.
