Welcome to Abington Park

Abington Park is split in two halves and is over 2 miles in circumference. It has a mixture of open flat fields, hills, lakes, a wooded area, toilets, cafe and a bandstand. The BMF group averages around 40-70 members and sessions vary between moving around the entire park stopping to use the local features for exercises and static sessions using boxing equipment, kettlebells, slam balls, power bags and much more.  It's also not unusual to pass a group of BMFers marching around the park in a squad with weighted bags on their backs practising their TABBING skills!

Billy Hawkins

Billy was in the Royal Army Medical Corp as well as an all arms physical training instructor. He spent time attached to various infantry battalions in locations across the world, including Afghanistan, Northern Ireland, the Falkland Islands and Germany.  He enjoys a number of adventure sports including skiing and climbing.  What does he love most about BMF? Training outdoors and coming up with workouts that can’t be done in a gym!

Meeting point is on Park Avenue South opposite Christ Church Road.

From city centre - Follow Wellingborough Road A4500 towards Wellingborough. At roundabout turn right onto Park Avenue South A5095. Meeting point is opposite Abington Abbey, parking along Park Avenue South.

Directions: From South/East - Exit the A45 onto Rushmere Road A5095 towards Abington. Follow the road onto Park Avenue South. Meeting point is opposite Abington Abbey, parking along Park Avenue South.
